Agency Director Nominated For Public Servant of the Year Award

September 25, 2013

The Agency are delighted to hear that Bridget Betts, Director and Decision Maker for Fostering People Too, has been shortlisted for The Guardian’s Public Servant of the Year Award. This is in recognition of the work she has done setting up Adoption Activity Days or ‘Adoption Parties’ as they are sometimes referred to in the press.

Of the 225 children aged 18 months to 10 who attended the five activity days held as part of the pilot, 42 have been placed for adoption, a success rate of nearly 20%. Due to this success it is now a permanent service and in excess of 10 more events are planned before the end of 2013.

We wish Bridget the best of luck for both the award and for the on going success of the project.
